Reinventing Wearables To Bring Human Back to Life.
Seeing progress from inside.

Soma
Soft band, camera-freeA soft forearm band, privacy‑first and camera‑free.
Just slip it on. It sees inside, so there is no camera to set up.
Somi
Your Physical AIYour personal Physical AI, flags the wrong rep live.
Video calls, cameras, even trained eyes see the movement. Soma sees which muscles did it.
Five minutes today? I'll check every rep.
Like a Duo for home rehab.
SOMA in one glance
EIT electrodes insidewhich muscles worked
IMU podhow the hand moved
SOMA tells me which muscles worked. I flag the wrong rep live, then pick your next right one.
Needs you today: 3
- Khun SomchaiWrist takeover
- Khun MaleePinch, not fist
- Khun ChaiOn track, 5 of 5 days
Dad practised buttoning 5 days.
Nok, OT: Let him try first. Helping is love.
The band checks each rep. Somi turns it into the next right rep for the patient, the OT, the family and the clinic.
The case Khun Somchai, 62, buttons his shirt at home
How EIT sees it. 16 soft electrodes pass tiny, safe currents around the forearm. Active muscles change how current flows, so SOMA maps which muscles worked, with no camera. The IMU adds the movement. Here the wrist took over.
On a video call this rep looks fine. The wrong grasp gets practised 5 days, and the OT finds out next visit.
Wrist-led. Try again. Use your fingertips, not your whole hand.
Then Somi tells the right person
Dad practised buttoning 5 days. Let him try first. Helping is love.
Wrist takeover on pinch, rep by rep. Fix it before the next visit.
See who is slipping before they quit. Keep them in care.
02 The problem
Unchecked home practice does no better than no practice.
Practising alone = not practising
Same small gain either way. Nobody checks if the reps are right.
Arm and hand practice alone at home, chronic stroke. Wong et al. 2020, 15 trials.
Better in clinic tests. Not better at home.
Scores go up. Real use of the hand at home stays the same.
Hand function rose in rehab while daily hand use did not. Rand & Eng 2012.
“I do physio for Mum every day. She doesn't seem any better.”

“…we only see people once or twice a week so we have no clue what they're doing the other five days.”

Meet Somi
Your personal Physical AI.
Somi learns the task your OT teaches, watches every rep through SOMA, cues the next right one, and tells the OT and family. Not a camera. Not a coach app. It lives with the band.
Teach Somi in 2 minutes. Your OT picks a real task.
- 1
Pick a real task
Button a shirt, hold a spoon, let go of a cup.
- 2
Show Somi one good rep
The OT sets what a good grasp looks like for this hand.

Somi checks every rep at home
Counts the good ones, cues the next, fades cues as you improve.
Somi: a wrong rep gets a kind “Try again”, never a red X.

For private rehab clinics
Keep every patient in care between visits, and see who is slipping before they quit.
“Quite expensive… we go once or twice a month.”
A stroke survivor paying a private clinic (translated from Thai). Pantip, 2015.
07 Business model
Now
Clinics lease bands, prescribe them, and earn monthly.
Next
Families keep Somi after discharge, paid monthly.
Later
Robot makers license the consented hand model.

08 Questions
Before you ask.
Is it safe to wear?
SOMA is non-invasive: soft electrodes rest on the skin, with no needles and no camera. EIT is an established imaging method in research and clinical care. SOMA is a prototype in validation, and we test it with clinical partners before any patient use.
Does SOMA use a camera?
No. SOMA is privacy-first and camera-free: 0 cameras. It reads the forearm through the electrodes, and a motion sensor in the pod adds the movement, so practice at home stays private.
Can a patient use it alone at home?
That is what it is for. The band slips on and calibrates in about a minute, and Somi guides each session. The OT sees every rep before the next visit.
Can I get SOMA now?
We are starting with clinic pilots in Bangkok. If you run a rehab clinic, or treat hands after stroke, write to us.
